President's Corner

I, and the rest of the Jefferson PTA Board, would like to welcome back our returning Jefferson families and welcome in our new Jefferson families! We are ready and excited for another great year! From the first kindergarten playdates and the ice cream social before school begins, to the trolley, trivia night, carnival, Spring Dance, and everything in between, we have another fun year ahead of us. Please support us in our mission and join the PTA this year. The PTA partners directly with our school administrators and teachers to support their needs and we create amazing experiences for our students and families as well. Our budgetary needs are covered by a combination of fundraisers and memberships. Membership in the PTA gives you the right to participate in, and vote at, our meetings AND it is the only way you will have access to our school directory. We strongly encourage you to join the PTA! We plan to continue with our second Tuesday of the month in-person meetings while keeping the option to attend PTA meetings virtually to allow more parents, teachers, and staff to attend during the evenings. Our plan for the year will include: Our weekly Tiger Beat - a PTA - focused newsletter. We will strive to keep our PTA website updated for access to important information. We encourage you to attend our monthly PTA PTA meetings. We encourage you to follow the PTA social media accounts on Facebook (Families of Jefferson 205) and Instagram (@jeffersonptad205) to be kept up to date on all the PTA happenings. Thanks in advance for your support and I look forward to another great year! Please reach out to me in person or via email if you ever have questions: meredith.a.casey@gmail.com - Meredith Hardt - PTA President 2023-24 The PTA President is always looking for volunteers. Please contact jeffersonpta.205@gmail.com for opportunities.

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

PTA meetings are a great way to be among the first to know what is going on in our school and in the PTA.  In addition to all the great PTA information that you will learn in one of our meetings, you get the added benefit of networking with other PTA parents that you might not otherwise get to know.

Think about it....

  • Be informed!  You could be among the first to know about upcoming events and programs for your children

  • Affect the future!  You can provide valuable input about the direction of the Jefferson PTA.

  • Meet some great people!  You can network with other Jefferson parents, teachers and administrators.

  • Share the enthusiasm!  Kids love it when their parents are involved at school.
