About Señorita Egan

¡Hola! Me llamo Señorita Rosie Egan. This is my fifth year teaching in Elmhurst and I am very excited to be teaching Spanish again this year at Field and Jefferson Elementary Schools in addition to teaching English as a Second Language! In the past, I have also taught in a Spanish Bilingual 3rd grade classroom. I studied Elementary Education and Hispanic Studies at Illinois Wesleyan University. I also recently completed my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in English as a Second Language/Bilingual Education at Dominican University. During my undergraduate studies, I was able to live in Spain and teach English in a local elementary school. I also lived with a Spanish family and learned a lot about Spanish culture. I love to travel and learn more about other countries and their cultures and especially love to do so using Spanish! This summer I traveled to Costa Rica. In addition to Spain and Costa Rica, I've also been able to utilize Spanish when traveling to Mexico and Argentina. A few summers ago, I also went to Hyderabad, India for a few weeks to work with teachers and students. I am so excited to share my experiences with my students!
