Jefferson Family Newsletter~October 15, 2021
Michelle Guerino

Dear Jefferson Families,

Fall weather is finally in the air!  I don’t know about you, but I am super excited to pull out my cozy sweaters and comfort food recipes!  The weather can be a little bit unpredictable this time of year so dressing your child in layers is a good idea.  On inclement weather days, please remember that you can drop off or pick up your child off in front of the school.  We ask that you do not get out of your car and keep the car line moving to avoid a traffic back up.  Parking is still not allowed on Crescent on these days.  Click here for more details of the inclement weather plan.

Thank you to everyone who came to the PTA meeting on Tuesday night.  We learned some new tools to put in our parenting toolbox on Positive Reinforcement Strategies from our super knowledgeable social worker, Ms. Cusack. The 5th grade team also did a great job of presenting about fifth grade expectations and how they build leadership and independence in our students.

Have a great weekend!

Halloween Parade (October 29th, 8:40-9:00)

Weather permitting, Jefferson students will once again participate in a schoolwide Halloween parade.  The students will exit out the kindergarten door at 8:40 and proceed to the route which goes down Poplar, across Niagara, and back down Linden to Jefferson school.  Families may begin lining up for their spot on school property after the bell rings in the morning.  If you are lining up on the side streets, please be respectful to pedestrians and home owners.  We are looking forward to continuing this tradition once again this year!  There will not be a whole school assembly afterwards due to COVID safety precautions.  Students will be changing out of their costumes following the parade.
