Jefferson PTA Board Statement


The Jefferson PTA Board has chosen to take an educational and informational approach to the upcoming D205 Facilities Referendum.  We believe we best fulfill our mission “to engage and empower families and communities to advocate for all children” by providing you with the materials necessary to make an informed decision.  We encourage our Jefferson parents to take a look at the D205 referendum website, go to an informational meeting (see Referendum 101 coming soon), and take a school tour.  Thanks to our families for your dedication to our school and our wider community, and please let any Board member know if you have any questions.

District 205 Foundation Referendum Informational Meeting - Please join the D205 Foundation for a Referendum Informational Meeting at the Elmhurst Public Library on Thursday, October 18 at 7pm. 


Wednesday, October 24 at 7:00 PM

Referendum 101 - Join the Elmhurst PTA Council on Wednesday, October 24 at York High School Commons at 7pm for an overview of the District 205 Facilities Referendum on the ballot November 6. Superintendent David Moyer and School Board President Kara Caforio will present a brief overview and answer the most frequently asked questions.  Then attendees will have the opportunity to ask additional questions to better understand the details of the referendum.  Chris Whelton, Asst. Superintendent for Finance and Operations, and Todd Schmidt, Director of Building and Ground, will also be available to answer questions.  All Elmhurst residents are welcome!  






Jefferson School Pathway Impact - $8 million of improvements are planned to Jefferson. Students at Jefferson will also benefit from work being done at Bryan/Sandburg, and York.  To see how the District 205 Facilities Referendum will impact Jefferson, Bryan, and York , click here
