Weekly Weber Update

January 29, 2018

Dear Jefferson Families,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. It is hard to believe that we will soon be in the month of February! The year is flying by and there are so many wonderful things to come! The PTA Winter Carnival is on February 24; I hope to see you all there!

Just a reminder that there are no dogs allowed on school property. Please do not bring your dog on to school property. This is to ensure the safety of all students. I ask that everyone abide by this rule. This is a district-wide rule across all school buildings.

Please remember that if you are sharing Valentines next month, students are not to bring any candy or food items. Things like pencils, bookmarks, and stickers are great ideas!

Congratulations to Noveena Thakar and Nikhita Thakar! Their entries for PTA Reflections in the category of Literature have moved on to the state level! We are so proud of you!

Beginning today, Jefferson Student Council will be collecting canned goods for the annual Jefferson Souper Bowl! Students can donate a canned good or two and place it in the team bin to predict who will win! Will it be the Patriots or Eagles?

Please make sure to take some time to complete the 5Essentials survey for Jefferson. In order to get results and feedback on your input, we need to have at least 20% participation. The window closes January 31st. To take the parent survey please visit and select the appropriate survey to begin. A link is also provided on the Elmhurst D205 website.

Thank you to our PTA for organizing and bringing Junior Achievement to Jefferson. The sessions for Junior Achievement will begin in February. You will get information on the start of the sessions closer to the date.

Middle School Meeting for Incoming Sixth Grade Students
Please note that there is an informational meeting on February 1 at each middle school in regards to information for incoming sixth graders. Please take some time to attend the meeting as it involves planning for the 2018-2019 school year. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm, parents and students are encouraged to attend. Counselors and administrators will be available to help with scheduling questions.
